Asha Laghubitta to Provide 10 Percent Dividend

Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ALBSL) has informed about the dividend to the shareholders. The proposed dividend is from the fiscal year 2081/82.

The company has announced a 10 percent dividend. The total dividend includes a 9.5 percent bonus share and a 0.5 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes).

The dividend is subject to approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

From the previous fiscal year 2080/81, the microfinance company had distribted a 15 percent dividend, including a 14.25 percent bonus shares. However, from the fiscal year 2079/80, ALBSL didn’t provide any dividend to the shareholders.

Before that in the fiscal year 2078/79, the microfinance had distributed a 15 percent dividend, including a 14.2857 percent bonus share and a 0.7143 percent cash dividend. Similarly, from the fiscal year 2077/78, Asha Laghubitta had provided a 26.3158 percent dividend, including a 25 percent bonus share and a 1.3158 percent cash dividend.

Likewise, in the fiscal year 2076/77, ALBSL had distributed a 15.79 percent dividend which included 15 percent bonus shares and a 0.79 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes). Similarly, in the fiscal year 2075/76, the microfinance company had provided a 12.63 percent dividend to the shareholders, including 12 percent bonus shares.

At the end of Ashad 2082 BS, Asha Laghubitta has a paid-up capital of Rs 73.30 crores. After the adjustment of the proposed bonus share, the capital will rise to Rs 80.26 crores.
