Asian Life Insurance Proposes 10.5263 Percent Dividend

Asian Life Insurance Company Limited (ALICL) has announced the dividend to the shareholders. The dividend declaration is from the fiscal year 2081/82.

The board meeting of the insurance held on Poush 30, 2082 BS has decided to distribute a 10.5263 percent dividend. The total dividend includes a 5 percent bonus share and a 5.5263 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes).

As of Ashad’s end 2082 BS, ALICL has a paid-up capital of Rs 5 Arba. At this capital, the bonus share is worth Rs 25 crores while the cash dividend amounts to Rs 27.63 crores. Therefore, the company is planning to distribute a total dividend of Rs 52.63 crores.

The dividend is subject to approval from Nepal Insurance Authority, and the company’s upcoming annual general meeting (AGM).

From the previous fiscal year 2080/81, the company had provided a 5.3484 percent dividend including a 5.1 percent bonus and a 0.2684 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes).
