Chilime Hydropower to Construct 81 MW Budhi Gandaki Prok Khola Hydropower Project

Chilime Hydropower Company Ltd. is going to construct Budhi Gandaki Prok Khola Hydropower Project. The company has received the construction license for the project from the Department of electricity development. The department issued the license on Poush 2, 2081 BS. The construction license has validity until Poush 1, 2116 BS.
Budhi Gandaki Prok Hydropower Project is a Run-of-River (ROR) type hydropower project with an installed capacity of 81 MW. It will generate electricity through Budhi Gandaki Khola located at Prok (Gorkha).
Chilime Hydropower currently operates a 22.1 MW project located at Rasuwa district. Chilime Hydropower has three subsidiary hydropower companies. These include:
1. Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Company Limited.
2. Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidhyut Company Limited.
3. Sanjen Jalavidhyut Company Limited.
Through its subsidiary companies, Chilime Hydropower is developing four hydropower projects with an aggregate capacity of 270.3 MW.
