Distributable Profit & Dividend Paying Capacity Of Commercial Banks In Nepal

All commercial banks in Nepal have published their respective un-audited report for the fiscal year 2077/78. Based on those report, Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has the highest distributable profit of Rs 4.52 Arba. Nabil Bank is second to RB Bank in terms of distributable profit with Rs 4.14 Arba. Nepal Bank (NBL) has Rs 3.49 Arba profit that is available for the distribution to the shareholders.
On the basis of the distributable profit of the fiscal year 2077/78, we have computed the dividend paying capacity of the respective banks. Rastriya Banijya Bank has the highest dividend paying capacity of 44 percent. It is followed by Nabil Bank and Nepal Bank with 30 percent and 27.60 percent respectively.
Note: The upcoming dividend may differ from the dividend paying capacity that we have computed. Here, we have not included the reserve amount available for distribution from the previous years. Likewise, the company may announce lower dividend than their dividend paying capacity.
