Mega Bank Nepal Limited received the operating license from Nepal Rastra Bank on 4th Shrawan, 2067 B.S. The Bank commenced its operations from 7th Shrawan 2067. Mega Bank merged/acquired Pashchimanchal Development Bank Limited on 13th Baisakh 2073 (25th April 2016) and Tourism Development Bank Limited on 30th Baisakh 2075 (13th May 2018). Similarly, the bank acquired Gandaki Bikash Bank Limited and started joint operation on 21st Asar 2077 (5th July 2020).
