NMB Bank Limited is a licensed ‘A’ class commercial bank of Nepal established in 1996. The Bank has a Joint Venture Agreement with Nederlandse Financierings-Maatschappij voor Ontwikkelingslanden (FMO), wherein FMO holds 13.69% of the NMB Bank’s shares. The bank had signed the joint venture agreement in September 2016. NMB Bank received ‘Bank of the Year – 2017’ and ‘Bank of the Year 2018’ awards consecutively from The Banker, Financial Times, London.
Aside from a few years, NMB Bank has provided decent returns to the shareholders in the form of dividends. Since the fiscal year 2003/04, the bank distributed dividends ranging from 8.25 percent to 35 percent.
