Bernard Arnault, French fashion tycoon, has become the richest man in the world.
Arnault, chief executive officer of French luxury group LVMH, surpassed Jeff Bezos, founder of the American online retailer Amazon, to become the world’s richest man on Tuesday.
According to Forbes, Arnault has a net worth of $186.4 billion. Jeff Bezos, in second on the list, has $186 billion. Elon Musk has a net worth of $147.30 billion.
Arnault’s net worth has risen by $76 billion to $186.40 billion so far this year amid a severe recession in the global economy.
