Himalayan Everest Insurance Declares 8.75 Percent Dividend

Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited (HEI) has announced the dividend to the shareholders. The dividend declaration is from the fiscal year 2080/81.
The board meeting of the insurance held on Magh 29, 2081 BS has proposed an 8.75 percent dividend. The total dividend will be in the form of cash.
As of Ashad’s end 2081 BS, Himalayan Everest Insurance has a paid-up capital of Rs 250.01 crores. At this capital, the dividend amounts to Rs. 21.87 crores.
The dividend is subject to approval from Nepal Insurance Authority and the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company.
From the previous fiscal year 2079/80, the company had provided a 15 percent dividend, including an 8.63 percent bonus share and a 6.37 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes). Similarly, from the fiscal year 2078/79, HEI had distributed a 2.89 percent dividend, including a a 2.75 percent bonus share and a 0.14 percent cash dividend .
