Chinese tech giant Huawei said that the company is ready to sell its 5G smartphone chips to US-based tech company Apple. Apple company has not introduced a 5G capable phone and has planned to launch a 5G iPhone next year.

Apple has been using Intel corporation mobile chips and there are reports that Intel’s 5G chip is running into delays. Due to this the company may not be able to bring 5G iPhone in their planned period. Hence, Apple may look for another chip supplier.

Although Huawei is ready for the deal, still the US government may restrict the agreement between the companies. The US has been claiming that Huawei’s network equipment can pose a threat to national security.

Huawei founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei this Sunday in an interview told that the company would consider selling its next-generation mobile chips to other smartphone makers, in a potentially big shift in strategy. Further, he praised Apple and Steve Jobs and stated that “We are open to Apple in this regard”
