Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Nepal was established when Life Insurance Corporation of India, joined hands with Vishal Group. LIC India holds 55% of the ownership of the Company. Likewise, Vishal Group possesses 25 percent while the general public has 20 percent ownership of the company.

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Nepal got the life insurance license from the Insurance Board of Nepal (Beema Samiti) on August 7, 2001. It started the operation on September 1, 2001.

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Nepal Bonus Rate

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Nepal has introduced a new bonus share to its policyholders. As per the actuary valuation of the fiscal year 2079/80, the life insurance will provide a bonus rate ranging from Rs 40 to Rs 66 per thousand.
