Likhu-4 Hydropower Project Starts Commercial Electricity Production

Likhu-4 Hydropower Project, built on the Likhu River bordering Ramechhap and Okhaldhunga districts, has started commercial electricity production. About 35 MW of electricity is currently connected to the national grid from the project. The project has stated that electricity will be generated at full capacity during the rainy season.
The power house of the project generates electricity from two turbines. The generated electricity is connected to the New Khimti substation constructed in Manthali Municipality of Ramechhap District through 220 KV transmission line.
The project is promoted by Green Ventures Limited. The company started construction of the project in October 2018. The project is completed in three years.
