List of ‘B’ Class Development Banks In Nepal [Updated]

Development banks are the class ‘B’ financial institutions in Nepal. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) regulates all the banks and financial institutions (BFIs) of Nepal. NRB has grouped the BFIs into four major categories.
2. “B” Class Development Banks
3. “C” Class Finance Companies
4. “D” Class Microfinance Companies
Development banks in Nepal are divided into different categories based on the working area. There are mainly categorized as:
National Level Development Banks
4-10 Districts Development Banks
1-3 Districts Development Banks
Until Ashad’s end 2080 BS [Mid-July, 2023] there are 17 development banks in Nepal. Out of the total, eight development banks are operating at the National Level.
