National Hydropower Announces 19.50 Percent Dividend From FY 2077/78

National Hydropower Company Limited (NHPC) has announced dividends to the shareholders. The dividend declaration is from the fiscal year 2077/78.
The board meeting of the company held on Falgun 1, 2078 BS has proposed a 19.5 percent dividend. The total dividend includes an 18.525 percent bonus share and a 0.975 percent cash dividend. The company is planning to distribute Rs 25.66 crores worth of bonus shares and Rs 1.35 crores worth of cash dividends.
As of Ashad’s end 2078 B.S., National Hydropower has a paid-up capital of Rs. 1.38 Arba. After the adjustment of the proposed bonus share, the capital will increase to Rs. 1.63 Arba.
The company will distribute the dividend after the approval from its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). It is planning to organize its 25th AGM on Falgun 30, 2078 BS. For the purpose of AGM, the book closure date is on Falgun 13, 2078 BS. Hence, the investors holding/purchasing the shares of NHPC until Falgun 12 will receive the dividend.
