National Hydropower Closing 2:1 Right Share From Today

National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) is currently issuing the right shares to the shareholders. The company is floating 2:1 right share from Ashad 29, 2080 BS.
The right offering will close on Shrawan 18, 2080 BS.
For this purpose, the company had fixed the book closure date on Ashad 1, 2080 BS. Therefore, the investors purchasing the shares of NHPC until Jestha 32, 2080 BS will be eligible to apply for the right shares.
As of Chaitra’s end 2079 B.S., National Hydropower has a paid-up capital of Rs. 1.64 Arba. At this capital, the company will sell 50 percent right shares i.e. 82,21,459.72 shares. The total right issue amounts to Rs. 82.21 crores.
The hydropower has already approved the proposal to issue the right share from its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Falgun 30, 2078 BS.
Securities Board Of Nepal (SEBON) provided the approval to the company on Jestha 22, 2080 BS. The company had submitted the application to the board on Karthik 22, 2079 BS seeking permission to float the shares. Only after the approval from SEBON, the company can issue the right shares.
After the issue of right shares (if fully subscribed), the paid-up capital of NHPC will increase to Rs. 2.46 Arba.
