Nepal Investment Summit 2024 from Today

Today, the third investment summit is underway in Nepal, aiming to boost economic growth through the implementation of various development projects, such as the establishment of factories and industries, by attracting foreign direct investment. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ inaugurated the conference, where 151 projects worth Rs 900 billion are up for investment.

The Nepal Investment Board reports that over 1,600 investors from more than 55 countries will participate, with 23 exhibition rooms providing detailed information about the investment projects. Additionally, letters of intent will be sought for 19 projects.

The conference spans two days, with the opening session and two main sessions scheduled for the first day, followed by 11 parallel sessions on the second day. Investors will have the opportunity to engage with the Prime Minister and Finance Minister during the event.

Jointly organized by the government and the private sector, the conference underscores the vital role of the private sector in driving the country’s economic growth.
