Nepal Telecom To Provide Free SIM To Senior Citizens

On the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, Nepal Telecom is going to provide free SIM to senior citizens across the country. The telecom is going to distribute free SIMs to senior citizens above 60 years of age from Ashwin 15 to Ashwin 25.

According to Nepal Telecom’s spokesperson Rajesh Joshi, the SIM has a balance of Rs 10 and can be used for 40 minutes of conversation, 20 messages, and 60 MB of data. The facility will be available for one month. The International Day of Older Persons, which is celebrated globally on October 1, is being organized by the United Nations.

The facility will be available to senior citizens from the counters of Telecom offices across the country. To avail of this facility, one copy of passport size photo, identity, and age disclosure certificate will have to be submitted.
