Online Payment Of Tax In Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Kathmandu Metropolitan City has started the work of determining and collecting revenue through electronic system. The metropolis has started service from 10 wards including ward number 26 on Thursday. Ek Narayan Aryal, chief administrative officer of the KMC, informed that the service has been started from 10 wards as per the decision of the seventh municipal council of the corporation.

Ward Chairman of Ward No. 26, Khamraj Tiwari, said that the creative work started by the local level in Kathmandu would make it easier for the local level to start the service across the country. He said that such a situation would end now as paperwork was causing various problems. Now, everyone can pay tax from their homes.

Once the tax can be assessed and collected online, it will be possible to know how much revenue has been collected daily. The metropolis has stated that it will be easier to work as it will also provide data on how much tax is left to be collected in which areas.
