Stock Market To Open From Today

The stock market, which was closed after the government started lock down on Chaitra 11 due to the corona virus epidemic, will be reopened from today after more than three months. In the meantime, the stock market, which had been open for two days, was closed again. Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) had delayed the opening of share trading saying that the stock market could fall sharply and that it would create problems in the stability of the market.

According to Neeraj Giri, spokesperson of the board, necessary instructions have been given to Nepse to operate the market by making appropriate arrangements regarding transaction time, circuit break and price limit to bring stability in the secondary market.

The board has encouraged the investors to use electronic means when transferring shares and funds from their share accounts. Investors, brokers, Nepse, CDACs, merchant bankers involved in the market will have to transact by following the COVID-19 security measures issued earlier.
