Super Chepe Hydropower Project (9.05 MW) To Be Constructed In Chepe Khola

Ridge Line Energy Pvt. Ltd is going to construct Super Chepe Hydropower Project. The company has received the construction license for the project from the Department of electricity development. The department issued the license on Jestha 7, 2078 BS. The construction license has a validity until Jestha 6, 2113 BS.

Super Chepe Hydropower Project is a Run-of-River (ROR) type hydropower project with an installed capacity of 9.05 MW. It will generate electricity through Chepe Khola located at Ajirkot rural municipality (Gorkha) and Dudhpokhari rural municipality (Lamjung).

The project expects to generate 53.71 GWh electricity annually. The power generated from the project will be evacuated through 30 km long 33 kV transmission line to Marki-Chowk Sub-station in Tanahu.

The company has estimated the cost of the project at Rs 1.65 billion. The project will be funded with debt and equity in the ratio 70:30.
