Testing Of Suri Khola Hydropower Project Started

Mechanical testing of Suri Khola Hydropower Project has started on Wednesday. The 7-MW Suri Khola Hydropower Project is constructed in Gauri Shankar Rural Municipality-5 of Dolakha.

The project generates about 32.85 gigawatts of electricity including  5.28 gigawatts in the dry season and 27.56 gigawatts in the rainy season. 

Makar Jitumaya Suri Hydropower is the promoter company of the project.

Nepal Bangladesh Bank and Century Bank have invested in the project under the leadership of Prabhu Bank. The project, estimated to cost Rs 1.23 billion, has 30 percent equity and 70 percent loan investment. 

The project, which started construction in Magh, 2075 BS, has been completed in two and a half years.
