SuryaJyoti Life Insurance to Provide 35 Percent Dividend from FY 2079/80

SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Company Limited (SJLIC) has announced the dividend to the shareholders. The dividend declaration is from the fiscal year 2079/80.
The board meeting of the insurance held on Chaitra 20, 2080 BS has decided to distribute a 35 percent dividend. The total dividend includes a 10.26 percent bonus share and a 24.54 percent cash dividend (including for tax purposes).
As of Ashad’s end 2080 BS, SuryaJyoti Life Insurance has a paid-up capital of Rs 4.54 Arba. At this capital, the bonus share amounts to Rs. 46.63 crores while the cash dividend is worth Rs. 112.45 crores. Hence, the company is planning to distribute dividend worth Rs. 159.09 crores.
From the previous fiscal year 2078/79, SuryaJytoi Life Insurance didn’t distribute any dividend to the shareholders.
The dividend is subject to approval from Nepal Insurance Authority and the upcoming AGM of the insurance.
