Tiplyang Kaligandaki Hydropower Receives License To Construct 58 MW Project In Myagdi

Tiplyang Kaligandaki Hydropower Company is going to develop a 58 MW Tiplyang Kaligandaki Hydroelectric Project in Myagdi district.
The company has received the license to construct the project from Department of Electricity Development. The department has granted the construction license to the company on Ashad 9, 2079 BS. The license has a validity until Ashad 8, 2114 BS.
The license has been provided to the company on the basis of the environmental impact assessment report and study report of the project approved by the Ministry of Forest and Environment.
Earlier, the Department of Electricity Development has issued a 35-day notice requesting written suggestions regarding the adverse effect due to the construction and the operation of the project.
Tiplyang Kaligandaki Hydroelectric Project is a Run-Of-River (ROR) type project with an installed capacity of 58 Megawatt. The project is located at Annapurna Rural Municipality and Raghuganga Rural Municipality in Myagdi District.
The main structure of the project will be located on the left bank of Kaligandaki river. Headworks of the project will be located at Annapurna Rural Municipality. The project will generate 335.37 gigawatt hours of electricity annually. The generated electricity will be connected to the Dana substation through a 13 km transmission line.
