Green Ventures to Invest in 180 MW Kaligandaki Gorge Hydropower Project

Green Ventures Limited (GVL) has informed about the investment in Kaligandaki Gorge Hydropower Project.
The company has signed an agreement on Bhadra 10, 2082 BS to invest in 51 percent in Kaligandaki Gorge Hydropower Project promoted by Kaligandaki Gorge Hydropower Pvt. Ltd.
Kaligandaki Gorge Hydropower is developing an 180 MW Kaligandaki Gorge Hydropower Project in Mustang and Manang district of Gandaki Province. The project is a peaking run-of-river (PROR) type project.
Kaligandaki Gorge Hydropower received the construction license of the project on Falgun 17, 2075 BS. The construction license has a validity until Falgun 16, 2110 BS.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 39.50 billion which will be funded in a debt-equity ratio of 75:25.
Green Ventures Limited is currently operating a project with an installed capacity of 52.4 MW from Likhu Khola, which is the border of the Ramechhap and Okhaldhunga districts.
