Biratnagar Metropolitan City Discloses Rs 3.37 Billion Budget For FY 2077/78

The Sixth Municipal Council of Biratnagar Metropolitan City has presented the annual budget of Rs. 3.37 billion for the fiscal year 2077/78 today. For this, the metropolis will collect Rs. 898.30 million from the internal revenue, Rs. 768.25 million as revenue sharing from the federal and state governments, Rs. 387.68 million as financial equalization from the federal and state governments and Rs. 1.02 billion as conditional grant from federal government.

Similarly, Biratnagar Metropolitan City will receive Rs. 21 million from conditional grant of state government, Rs. 130 million from federal government special grant, Rs. 30 million from state government supplementary grant, Rs. 32.67 million from foreign and other organizations grant and Rs. 962 million from public participation.
Out of the total expenditure of Rs. 3.37 billion, Rs. 341.95 million is for administrative expenditure, Rs. 360 million for social security and Rs. 114.95 million for environment and waste management.

Similarly, the metropolis has allocated Rs. 115.79 million for urban health and Rs. 561.35 million for educational development programs, Rs. 20.92 million for women, children and youth development and sports, Rs. 65.22 million for other programs and Rs. 1.71 billion for infrastructure and other capital expenditure.
