Citizens Capital Closing Issue of ‘Citizens Santulit Yojana’ from Today [IPO]

Citizens Capital Limited has launched a new mutual fund scheme named “Citizens Santulit Yojana”. The fund manager is currently issuing 10 crore units of the scheme from Poush 4, 2082 BS.

Out of the total public issue, 15 percent or 1.5 crore units of the fund will be purchased by Citizens Bank International Limited, the promoter of the mutual fund. Hence, the general public can participate in the remaining 8.5 crore units.

Interested investors can apply for a minimum of 100 units and a maximum of 1 crore units.

The public issue will close on Poush 18, 2082 BS. Earlier, the scheme offering was set to close on Poush 8, 2082 BS. However, due to undersubscription until that period, the deadline for application was extended.

The close-ended scheme “Citizens Santulit Yojana” will operate under “Citizens Mutual Fund”. The fund manager is planning to issue 10 crores units at a par value of Rs. 10. Hence, the total issue amounts to Rs. 100 crores.

For this purpose, Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) had given the permission to the company on Mangsir 9, 2082 BS. The fund manager had submitted the application to the board on Poush 19, 2081 BS seeking permission to sell the units to the public. Only after the permission from the regulatory body SEBON, the mutual fund scheme can be floated to the general public.

After the allotment of the scheme, it will be listed and traded on the Nepal stock exchange.
