Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, a national level development bank, has opened the 109th branch in Chapali, Budanilakantha Municipality, Ward No. 2, Kathmandu.
Mr. Uddhav Prasad Kharel, the head of Budhanilakantha Municipality jointly inaugurated the branch with Mr. Sudip Acharya, the chairman of the bank. The branch opening occasion was attended by the directors, promoters as well as the employees of the bank and the locals.
Mr. Yogesh Bhattarai, the tourism minister, was expected to attend the ceremony. However, due to a hectic schedule relating to the meetings of Visit Nepal Year 2020, he could not attend the branch opening ceremony.
In the branch inauguration program, Mr. Prabin Basnet, CEO of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, highlighted the current performance of the bank along with the future action plan. He further added that the bank is committed to providing quality services to the customers through the innovative products and extensive networks of the bank. Mr. Basnet informed, ” The Chapali branch will provide free locker service to the customers for one year.” Also, “the bank has offered a 10.50% interest rate on the individual fixed deposit” he added.
The chairman of the bank, Mr. Sudhir Basnet shared his plans regarding the branch expansion and the bank’s future. “We are looking to reach 125 branches within this fiscal year,” he said. “If we get a suitable partner, we are willing to undergo the merger or acquisition”.
With the introduction of the new branch, Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank is now operating with 109 branches and 58 ATMs. In addition, the bank is providing various banking services which include ABBS, SMS Banking, Mobile Banking, C-ASBA, Locker Service among others.
