Khorunga Khola Hydropower Project (4.8 MW) Being Tested Before Commercial Electricity Generation

The 4.8 MW Khorunga Khola Hydropower Project constructed in Tehrathum is going through internal testing. The structure of the project is being tested before connecting the electricity to the national grid.
When the project comes into operation, the power generated will be connected to Jiri-Khimti substation located at a distance of 4 kilometers from the power house. The necessary transmission line to the substation has been constructed by the company itself.
The project has constructed 3,853 meters headrace and 323 meters long penstock pipe. The power house of the project has two production units.
The project is developed by Reliable Hydropower Company.
