Lumbini General Insurance Amends Dividend | To Provide 7.3579 Percent Dividend

Lumbini General Insurance Company Limited (LGIL) has revised the dividend to the shareholders. The dividend declaration is from the fiscal year 2078/79.
As informed on Nepse, the company had proposed a 7.3579 percent dividend. The total dividend includes a 6.99 percent bonus share and a 0.3679 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes).
Previously, the board meeting of LGIL held on Poush 13, 2079 BS has declared a 7.37 percent dividend, including a 7 percent bonus share and a 0.37 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes). However, as per the direction of Nepal Insurance Authority, the company has amended the dividend.
As of Ashad’s end 2079 BS, Lumbini General Insurance has a paid-up capital of Rs. 131.27 crores. At this capital, the bonus share is worth Rs. 9.17 crores. Likewise, the cash dividend amounts to Rs 48.29 lakhs.
From the previous fiscal year 2077/78, LGIL had distributed a 10 percent dividend, including a 9.52381 percent bonus share and a 0.47619 percent cash dividend.
The dividend shall be distributed after the approval from Nepal Insurance Authority and the upcoming AGM of the company.
