Nepal Tea Development Corporation To Issue Shares To Public (IPO)

Nepal Tea Development Corporation is going to issue shares to the public (IPO). The company is taking a special proposal to issue shares to the general public to the 19th general meeting.

The board meeting of the company held on Chaitra 6, 2077 BS has also decided to convene a general meeting on Chaitra 29, 2077 BS.

The government of Nepal has 35 percent share in the company while the private sector has 65 percent shares. Nepal Tea Development Corporation was established in 2030 BS. At current, it has a paid-up capital of Rs 20 crores. 

In 2056 BS, the government privatized the company and leased the land for 50 years. Currently, the company is working on about 3200 bighas of land in Ilam and Jhapa.
