Nepse Implements Data Usage Procedure | To Charge Fee While Using Data For Personal Purposes

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has implemented the procedure for using data, 2077 BS.  Nepse has formulated and implemented the working procedure for the use of data generated after trading in Nepse, information affecting securities prices and data that can be distributed from time to time.

According to Nepse, this procedure has been implemented since Poush 1, 2077 BS. With the implementation of the procedure, the prescribed fee has to be paid for using the data of Nepse for personal purposes. Investment companies, analysts, media as well as non-commercial educational and research institutions will be able to get the data of Nepse.

But for that, one has to pay a monthly fee to Nepse. Any user of Nepse data should have an agreement with Nepse with a clear objective. NEPSE has stated that the data requested by the regulatory or research bodies will be provided free of cost. If users are found to be using data unauthorizedly, Nepse will even block the user’s service.  Also, in case of loss due to unauthorized use of data, the Nepse Committee can also charge the prescribed fine.
