In the current fiscal year, the per capita income of Nepalis has increased by Rs. 18,000. In US dollars, the per capita income of Nepalis has reached 1,381 dollars.
According to the Economic Survey of the Fiscal Year 2078/79, the income of Nepalis has increased by 10.8 percent in one year.
In the Fiscal Year 2077/78, the per capita income stood at Rs. 146,521 per annum which has increased by Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 164,521 in the current Fiscal Year.
At present, the share of consumption in the economy is 90.7 percent, which stood at 92.3 percent in the previous fiscal year. Similarly, consumption has increased by 11.5 percent.
According to the survey, the economy is projected to grow by 5.84 percent in the current fiscal year. It had increased by 4.25 percent in the previous year.
In the current fiscal year, agriculture is projected to grow by 2.3 percent, industry by 8.1 percent and service sector by 6.6 percent.
