Rastriya Banijya Bank Provides Rs 20 Million Grants To Various Industries

Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has provided more than Rs. 20 million grant assistance to various industries connected with equipment to save economical and effective energy.

Rastriya Banijya Bank on Monday transferred funds under the ‘Energy Efficiency Program Nepal’, a grant-in-aid program run by the German government through KFW Bank.

Among the industries receiving grant assistance, Pashupati Iron and Steel Pvt. Ltd. received Rs. 10 million, Bottlers Nepal Ltd. Rs. 52.94 million, Bagmati Oil Industries Rs. 43.35 million, Himal Iron and Steel Pvt. Ltd. Rs. 34,000, and East Asian Plastic Industries Pvt. Ltd. received a check for Rs. 240,000.

Handing over the check, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Kiran Kumar Shrestha called upon other industries to participate in the program by investing in energy saving.

So far, more than Rs 67.4 million has been transferred to 17 industries, according to Rastriya Banijya Bank.

Under the project, large, small, and medium enterprises and firms operating in Nepal will be provided 15 to 39 percent of the cost of German subsidy through Rastriya Banijya Bank.
