Super Lower Bagmati Hydropower Project To Generate 41.86 MW Electricity

Super Bagmati Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. is going to construct Super Lower Bagmati Hydropower Project. The company has received the construction license for the project from the Department of electricity development. The department issued the license on Magh 12, 2078 BS. The construction license has validity until Magh 11, 2113 BS.

Super Lower Bagmati Hydropower Project is a Run-of-River (ROR) type hydropower project with an installed capacity of 41.86 MW. It will generate electricity through the Bagmati river located at Makwanpur, Lalitpur, Kavre, and Sindhuli.

The project will generate 243.80 GWh of electricity annually. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 20.62 crores per MW. The company aims to complete the construction in 48 months.
