Deposit & Loans Of Commercial Banks In Nepal

Until the end of the Ashad of the fiscal year 2079/80, 20 commercial banks in Nepal have collected deposits of Rs 50.04 Kharba from the customers. Likewise, the banks have floated loans and advances of Rs 41.22 Kharba during this period.

Here, we have ranked the commercial banks of Nepal in terms of deposits and loans. This is based on the data until the end of the Ashad 2080 BS.

Top 10 Commercial Banks In Nepal ( In terms of Deposits)

Global IME Bank (GBIME)has the highest deposits from customers among the commercial banks of Nepal. GBIME has deposits of Rs 426.33 Arba until Ashad’s end, 2080 BS. Nabil Bank (NABIL) is second with Rs 396.84 Arba in deposits. Likewise, Nepal Investment Mega Bank (NIMB) and Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has deposits of Rs 354.41 Arba and Rs 321.66 Arba respectively.

Deposits Of Other Commercial Banks

Standard Chartered Bank Nepal (SCB) has the lowest deposit among the commercial banks with Rs 117.5 Arba. Similarly, Nepal SBI Bank (SBI), and Machhapuchchhre Bank (MBL) have lower deposits of Rs 150.83 Arba, and Rs 154.18 Arba respectively.

In terms of lending, Global IME Bank has floated the highest loans and advances to the customers. Until Ashad’s end 2080 BS, the Bank has provided loans of Rs 356.39 Arba. Likewise, Nabil Bank is second to Global IME Bank with Rs 332.7 Arba in loans. Nepal Investment Mega Bank and Kumari Bank have floated Rs 303.66 Arba and Rs 270.57 Arba respectively.

One bank has loans and advances to customers below Rs 100 Arba.  Standard Chartered Bank Nepal has floated the lowest loans of Rs. 77.86 Arba. Likewise, Nepal SBI Bank, and Machhapuchchhre Bank have loans of Rs  116.72 Arba, and Rs 126.47 Arba respectively.
