Huawei follows Samsung; MateX costing $2600 revealed

China’s telecom giant Huawei has followed the latest craze to launch folding smartphones and revealed the new folding smartphone this Sunday. The company showcased its first foldable smartphone Mate X.

In order to adapt to the future trends in mobile networks, it has been designed such that the device can be used on superfast next-generation mobile networks which is due to come online in coming days.

Further the CEO of the company’s consumer business group, Mr. Richard Yu said that The Mate X is the answer to a question Huawei faced as it sought to satisfy smartphone users’ demands for bigger screens and longer battery life.

The company is battling against several charges by the US including the one that it is a cybersecurity risk.

The selling price of the foldable mobile is $2600 which is expensive than Samsung’s released folding smartphone that cost $1980.
